Here's a fun sport that can be enjoyed by all in warm weather. One ski can work for amputees with one leg. Some use two skis, or one ski with two legs. Individuals who don't stand use a “sit ski” which can be wide, narrow, or competitive. The sit ski was created by a person who has quadriplegia. All sit-down skiers use a singlewide ski to which a metal-framed cage is attached. The skier sits in a canvas sling that can be adjusted up or down to change the skier’s center of balance and comes in a variety of models to suit the skiers ability level.
